Many hospitals have day observation units where patients can be monitored for a relatively short duration of time, generally less than 24 hours, without needing to be admitted as inpatients. This is commonly used for patients who require so much observation, tests, or therapeutic but do not require an overnight stay in the hospital. It is a way of providing basic care while freeing up hospital beds for more serious illnesses.
1. Select the option ‘IPD Management‘ from the control panel.
2. In the IPD module, click on the button labeled “Manage Day Observation / Detention” as shown below.
3. When the user clicks on “Manage Day Observation / Detention,” the following screen will appear.
4. You can update any hospitals/Clinic wards details that are reserverd for Day Observation / Detention as indicated below. Click on “Update” button.
5. The system will then display the message “Do you really want to observation and Dentention” on the screen. Click On “Ok” button.
11. Enter the details of the checklist item you want to update in the checklist item text box and click the “Update” button.
12. The system will then display the message “Housekeeping Checklist successfully updated” on the screen. Click on ” Ok” button.
13. You can delete existing Hosuekeeping Checklist items, Click on “Remove” button located in front of Chceklist Item Name as indicated below. Click on “Ok”
In this way, you can assign particular ward for day observation and detention which iwill provide necessary care while freeing up hospital beds for more critical cases.
